The Rhone Valley offers a great deal to the wine lover albeit divided into the two parts! The Northern Rhone is home to the single variety wines and our list is dominated by two producers. Yves Cuilleron produces an outstanding Condrieu from Viognier, a delicious Saint Joseph from Syrah, and wonderful whites from Roussanne & Marsanne. Jean Luc Colombo is our other Northern Rhone ranger making some of the best Cornas and Saint Joseph to be found, both from 100% Syrah. The Southern Rhone is perhaps home to more of the famous names of the Rhone, many of which are blends of several grape varieties; reds from Grenache, Syrah & Mourvèdre on the whole and whites from Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Bourboulenc to name but three! Domaine Charbonniere produces excellent Chateauneuf du Pape both white and red, our Lirac from Domaine d’Arbousset is the best we’ve tasted, Guillaume Gonnet uses all of his family’s expertise to produce great Cairanne and the Cotes de Rhone of Domaine Epsigouette is just wonderful!
