When I’m not sure what I’m in the mood for (which admittedly is not very often), a reliable source of pure enjoyment is the Estate Sauvignon Blanc from Klein Constantia. Highly regarded as a top South African wine estate and somewhat of a Sauvignon Blanc specialist, there is no questioning the calibre of the wines produced here.
A blend of parcels of fruit from different vineyards, grapes are hand sorted and pressed gently to retain pristine free run juice. Fermentation is followed by a short maturation on lees in stainless steel tanks to add texture and body before the wine is then bottled.
‘Fresh and zesty providing a wonderful intensity of green tinged citrus and stone fruits with plenty of subtle complexities. Harmonious and textured with balance and a long flinty finish. A very elegant expression of South African Sauvignon Blanc and true to the style you come to expect from the Klein Constantia estate.’
